Demonstration by Dale Byhre!

Dale Byhre has lived in the lower mainland all his life.  A career in art was always in his future since learning to draw as a child.  After working in the forest industry and painting part time with some success, it wasn’t until taking early retirement to paint full time that Dale truly began to meet

with a marked degree of acclaim.  In those past seven years, Dale has become noted for his marine and historical paintings as well as his landscapes and seascapes. In those short years, he earned Signature Membership in the Federation of Canadian Artists, the American Society of Marine Artists, as

well as the Canadian Society of Marine Artists.  Painting almost exclusively with acrylics, Dale describes his style as a

mix of impressionism and representational, with a bit of romance added for good measure.  Dale likes to say: ‘Paint what you love and everything will

follow easily.’ My demo will be a seascape scene relevant to the elements that make up a typical scene along the BC coastline.  I will painting with acrylics on canvas.
